Now that your digital clone is set up and integrated, it’s time to focus on engaging your users. This chapter will guide you through the different options
and settings available to ensure your interactions are effective, personalized, and valuable for your audience.
- Engagement Preferences
Start by accessing the engagement preferences in your clone’s studio. These settings allow you to control how much information you gather about your users.
Anonymous Mode: Depending on your industry, you may need to allow users to remain anonymous. This is particularly relevant in fields like mental health or highly regulated industries where privacy is paramount. For this demonstration, I’ve turned on anonymous mode to protect user identities.
Audience Overview: This section shows a list of all your users, including when they joined and their names. For privacy reasons, you may choose not to display this information publicly.
- Conversations
The conversations tab is where you can review interactions between your clone and users. This feature is
invaluable for monitoring the performance of your clone and ensuring it represents you accurately.
Video and Text Replays: You can replay video calls or review text conversations to see how your clone is interacting with users. This is essential for quality control, allowing you to verify that your clone is answering questions appropriately and in line with your style.
Improving Responses: If you find that your clone gave a response you’re not happy with, you can edit it. This not only corrects the answer for that specific user but also improves the response for future interactions on the same topic.
Language Capabilities: Currently, my clone can sometimes respond in languages other than English, such as Spanish. This feature is expected to improve, making it possible for your clone to converse fluently in multiple languages by early 2025. This capability could make your clone even more versatile than you are, extending your reach globally.
- Broadcast Messages
Broadcasting allows you to send messages to everyone in your clone’s user database. This can be a powerful tool for keeping your audience engaged, sharing updates, or promoting new services.
Email Collection: You can decide whether to require users to provide their email before interacting with your clone. I allow users to ask up to five questions without an email to make the first interaction as easy as possible. However, I require an email for more in-depth interactions, such as video calls.
Sparing Communication: Be mindful of how often you send broadcast messages. Over-communicating can lead to disengagement. For example, I’ve only sent one broadcast message so far, welcoming users and introducing the video feature.
- Alerts
Alerts notify you when certain types of interactions occur, such as when a user asks for a proposal or inquires about pricing. This feature ensures you can follow up promptly, providing a personalized touch that can enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
Managing Alerts: Set up alerts for key topics or phrases that are critical to your business. This allows you to stay on top of important interactions and address them in a timely manner.
- Final Thoughts on Engagement
Engaging your users effectively is not just about setting up your clone; it’s about continuously refining and improving how it interacts with people. By regularly reviewing conversations, improving responses, and utilizing broadcast and alert features, you can ensure that your clone remains a valuable tool for your audience. Engagement is key to the success of your digital clone. By leveraging these tools and settings, you’ll create a more personalized, responsive, and effective experience for your users. This chapter has provided a roadmap for optimizing user engagement, ensuring that your clone is not just a passive tool but an active participant in your communication strategy.
