Building Your Clone – First Step

All right, let’s dive right in and start building your digital clone. I’m going to walk you through the process using the platform Delphi.ai, but remember,

you’re welcome to use any platform that suits your needs. The key here is to follow along and get hands-on experience as we go.

Step 1: Getting Started

First, you’ll need to sign in to your chosen platform. I already have a clone set up, but if this is your first time, you’ll be going through the same steps I did when I first started. Once you’re signed in, look for the option to start building your clone. On Delphi.ai, you’ll see a “Build” button in the middle of the screen go ahead and click that.

Step 2: Defining Your Clone’s Purpose

The first critical step in building your clone is to define its purpose. This is where you tell the AI exactly what you want your clone to achieve. For example, I’ve programmed my clone to act as a coach, helping people achieve their goals related to personal development and communication skills. Your clone’s purpose should be specific to you and your needs.

This step is crucial because, without a clear purpose, your clone won’t know how to represent you effectively. Most platforms, including Delphi.ai, allow you to write up

to 5,000 characters to define your clone’s purpose. I’ve used this space to ensure my clone mirrors the way I perceive myself in real life coaching, guiding, and taking people on a journey of skill development. Whether your focus is on marketing, customer service, or any other field, take the time to clearly define what you want your clone to do.

Step 3: Setting the Style

Once you’ve defined the purpose, the next step is to set the style for your clone. I’ve programmed my clone to be upbeat, energetic, and filled with enthusiasm and positivity. This reflects my personal style, and I want my clone to project that same energy.

Most clone platforms allow you to train the AI not just in terms of content and voice but also in style. For example, I’ve provided Delphi.ai with audio files and even a PDF of my most popular book, The Secret to Foolproof Presentations, to ensure the clone captures my preferred communication style.

Your clone’s style should align with how you want to be perceived whether that’s professional and formal, casual and friendly, or somewhere in between. Consider what tone and demeanor you want your clone to have whenever it interacts with others.

Step 4: Preparing Your Content

Even if you haven’t signed up for a specific platform yet, you can start preparing by gathering all your content. Create a digital file where you can store your written purpose, the style guidelines, and any content like books, articles, or audio files that you want to upload to your clone.

Step 5: Creating Different Versions

On Delphi.ai, there’s an option to create different versions of your clone, which they call “instances.” I’ve created multiple instances for specific niches one for communication skills, another for media training, one for customer service and sales, and even one dedicated to life coaching. Each version is tailored to a particular audience, ensuring that my clone provides the most relevant and effective guidance possible.

You might not need multiple versions right away, but it’s something to consider as you refine your clone’s capabilities.

Take Action

So, regardless of whether you’ve signed up for a platform yet, start by writing down the purpose and style you want for your clone. Begin organizing your content into digital files, and think about how you want your clone to interact with the world. By taking these initial steps, you’ll be well-prepared when you’re ready to start building your clone on the platform of your choice.
